Do I need a library card to play the online challenge?
No. A Library card is not required for you to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge. Though we would love for you and your family to register for one.

Do I have to use the online version? Will there be a paper version?
We encourage you to participate online, but you can always come to your local library to sign up using the paper version.

How does the online program work?
Register using the online form:
-    Create a user name and password for yourself or your whole family. Make sure to keep it in a safe place. (Note: Email is required for participation. It can be one per family.)
-    Provide your name and contact information and don’t forget to choose your favorite branch.

Create your reader profile(s)
-    Create a reader profile to play the challenge yourself
-    Add more reader profiles for everyone in your family

Log your progress
Every time you or a family member reads a book or completes an activity, come back to the site and log the books or activities on the appropriate reader profile(s).

Finish the challenge and claim your prize
When you are done, come to your chosen favorite library branch to pick up your prize. For drawing prizes we will contact you individually.

How do I show that I have been reading or completing the activities?
Online users will need to log in the site periodically to record books read or activities completed. Choose your reader profile on your family account and click the activity completed or log the title of the book you read. You can also choose to rate what you read as well. Click on the Reading Log tab at the top of the page to see a full list of books you have logged.

When can I start picking up my prizes?
We will begin to give out prizes starting June 8. Winners of the prize drawings will be contacted individually for prize pick up.

Where do I pick up my prize?
You can pick up your prize at the library you select as your "favorite branch" in the initial registration. Library staff will look you up by your name to see whether or not activities have been completed. If you have not chosen to use the online version of the summer challenge, then present library staff with your completed reading logs, gameboards, or booksmarks that tracked your progress.
